First town homes have started framing. They estimate it will take them 20 years to complete this project. LRT is going in regardless of sales by 2023. They are working to relocate CN so the LRT can cross the road.

@KyleBlanchett Sounds super awesome! do you mean that the LRT is going to be actually extended by 2023? Or the sales of units by 2023?

@Platinum107 My understanding is that the LRT will be extended before 2023. The sales of the residential properties will not affect the progression of the LRT

LRT extension should start construction next year.

Hopefully the extension will not be affected by the Provincial Government's cuts to the Alberta Community Transit Fund and other transit/infrastructure grants.

The biggest problem with politics is (and always has been) that when it becomes a "team sport" then bad decisions and bad policy get into play. People start cheering for this "team" or that "team" as though they have all the answers. Alberta is in a super bad position now -- cuts to spending when the reverse should be taking place (especially on infrastructure projects) and zero representation in the Federal government -- how can you spin that as a good thing?
