Very standard in Canada more broadly. It is common for Toronto/Vancouver condo fees to be in excess of 1000 for a small 2 bedroom suite, without much in the way of amenities.
A buck a foot is not that unusual for high-end buildings with amenities of this quality/level. Very few buildings would be anywhere near this offering in our province.
