From my understanding, the office tower isn't really empty too. I'm guessing that means relocations for the tenants to other offices in the financial core?

Yes, the signage is both a landmark and now almost historical. CN will probably not mind the advertising, so I agree it definitely should be kept.

My understanding is that the only reason it is up there is due to the cost of removal and that CN probably likes the freed exposure, but I could see it being removed due to corporate direction should exterior renovations occur.

Losing the CN lights would almost be as bad as them not putting the brewery sign back up in Brewery District.

The lower street-facing sign could go but the upper neon sign should stay -- it is historical and gives remembrances continuation along with the actual building.

I just hope they don’t change the façade like they did with the Centennial building which in my opinion they ruined when it was converted from Office to residential. I know the windows are narrow in these old 60s buildings but what they did to the Centennial Park building was terrible.

The building is a nice example of the international style of architecture. Train company headquarters but it has that Pan Am jet setting look to it. Very sleek, modern and period defined.

The street facing sign has a very strong presence and it would be a shame if had to be removed. Size, shape, and color wise it's basically perfect in the context of the building.
