Arlington Site | ?m | 33s | Kota Contracting | Der+Associates

Better than how it looked before, but now I worry that we will see yet another off-premise surface lot for 50 yrs.

On a more positive note, at least the billboard looks nice, the lot has been cleaned up and leveled. I think grass would have been nicer than gravel and don't think it will be able to be used for parking unless paved.

On a less positive note, I suspect this is how it may remain for a long time

That's too bad I liked the mural. I wonder if they are going to put something else up. However, it still looks better than before with the wall painted, the site leveled and fenced in.

Its too bad it only took a decade and a half for it to get to this state, although I would have preferred grass rather than gravel.

That might be the most minimal effort surface lot I've seen downtown. Not even any stall curbs or anything.

Boooooo.

Did they get a DP for this?
That's a really good question because this would seem to go against city policy. I suppose the lot could still be paved, not just gravel as is, but if signage is up already that seems unlikely.

I wonder if some deal was cooked up to use the proceeds from the parking to pay back what they owe the city. I wouldn't be surprised, we know how transparent the city is these days.
