Alas, I genuinely don't think that they care and they keep proving it over and over again, while the "my pappy voted blue and his pappy before him so I also vote blue" contingent continues to vote for them so...I guess they don't have to?

On the other hand, you could say this has never been an effective functioning government. Which is what probably got them here.

As much as we hope this government will be crushed. I do not see it. No MLA will break away at this point. Either way any that break away will be tainted. And the Rural areas will still vote overwhelmingly UCP. Unless we get a new PC group. ( A Lougheed Conservative Group).

The new PC Party is forming to basically do just that. They currently have 2 MLAs, but may elect more in 2 years from now.

I have high hopes for the new PC party (former Alberta Party) but they better start getting their act together quick if they want to be ready for next election.

That said, polls about the new PC Party all point to it benefitting only the NDP and gravely hurting the UCP.
