Alberta Major Projects

Phase 1? That implies there's a phase 2....
I was wondering what they were plotting for the remainder of the lots that aren't being used for this building but they're currently staging on, so I guess that sort of answers it. 🤔
Guess we will see how well it leases up - if quickly, then a Phase 2 would be likely I think. However, if it's slow, then maybe they stop at Phase 1. The short walk to the new Stadium LRT should make it attractive I reckon.

Construction of a seven-story apartment building that will contain 278 residential units and an underground parkade.
Building permits were issued by the City of Edmonton for the parkade in November 2021, while permits for the building were issued in April 2022.

Gill Villa - Building #2​

Construction of a new rental apartment complex located in southeast Edmonton, in the neighborhood of Tamarack. Building 2 will feature 153 units over an underground parkade. The entire development will include 347 units between the two buildings.

A building permit was issued for the building on May 4, 2022.

CP Hydrogen Locomotive Project​

According to CP Rail, the hydrogen infrastructure at CP's Edmonton and Calgary sites will include a 1MW electrolyzer, compression, storage and dispensing for locomotive refuelling. Construction of facilities is expected to begin later this year with production and supply of hydrogen being provided to locomotives in 2023. CP will also be converting three diesel-electric powertrains to hydrogen-electric powertrains as part of the project.

Emissions Reduction Alberta has provided $15M in funding for the project.

Edmonton International Airport Cargo Expansion and Infrastructure Upgrades​

The Edmonton International Airport will see its cargo handling space expanded and new infrastructure added, as part of a new 2,000-acre international cargo handling hub.

The project will help increase the amount of cargo that moves through Edmonton's airport and strengthen distribution networks with the rest of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

The Federal government announced $100M in funding on July 21, 2022 as part of the National Trade Corridors Fund.

Peter Hemingway Leisure Centre Rehabilitation​
