Based on random things I’ve heard but can’t remember my source, I believe Crimson Cove has plans for 3 buildings, all in the circle in the map that was posted. I assume they’ll do one at a time.

I believe there was an RFP earlier this year for a NAIT residence. Not sure where that is at, but it would be great to see! I have not really heard anything else about those lands in quite a while.

Very interesting discussion. The councillors were all referencing a memo they got yesterday about the progress of development at Blatchford. Sure would like to get my hands on a copy of that memo!

I walked by the work being done closest to the pond yesterday and it looks more like Streetside is maybe just doing some underground utility type work right now rather than digging basements. Given the time of year, I assume they would wait until spring to start doing the full dig out and...

Only NX and Streetside are condo-style townhomes. All the rest are freehold so far. There are no HOA fees despite what listings say.

    - Good catch re Streetside buying the adjacent lot. The sales have seemed slow on that project but obviously they have some confidence in the area which is good. - Carbon Busters is a mystery. There will randomly be a couple of people working on it but nothing consistent. It is a wonder to me...

Yes, there is now a fairly direct walking path to the LRT station from the current development. The City really should be trumpeting some of this as it makes the community much more connected. I think the signalized intersection is the 119 ave one? That’s as far north as the roads go at this...

Yes - the MUP connecting Blatchford to the east side of 118 ave is complete! You can also drive through (maybe not officially but it’s been done by certain people…) by going up to 119 ave, crossing the LRT tracks then driving back down to Blatchford road. Convenient for those coming and going...

This was approved a while back - see details from City website below. I wish I understood the order that development happened in... I'll see some builders in Blatchford have big splashy announcements and have foundations poured before a development permit shows up on the City website, then there...

Isn’t the video just done by a random dude? Its not like it’s an ad for the community.

I don’t really know why Landmark is selling slower than other builders. The price point isn’t that different from similar products in the neighbourhood. They are the only builder using air source heat pumps. I would have thought that would be more attractive to some people but who knows…

Alright - I'll post some pictures of the construction that's going on right now. But people really should check out the event next Saturday for a better look. Landmark is taking a more deliberate approach - they seem to have completely finished the first row of four townhomes before starting...

Might be a while for that - but people really should go see Blatchford in person. There is a whole lot going on right now!

This is the answer. The street in the foreground is pedestrian only, so it gives a bit more of a park feel with the setback. If you look in the background, you’ll see fairly small setbacks when measured from the sidewalk. It this doesn’t allow for the real NYC brownstone feel, but does allow a...

Ah! Misunderstood the school part. It seems like admin is now focused on the right thing by shifting its focus a little more to the east side.

Admin is looking at the market area by the LRT as the next stage of development (probably should have happened sooner, but the next best time is now…). And the school decision isn’t really in their hands.

My guess is that this is a purely political move by Paquette/allies on council. Admin is scheduled to come back to council every fall for progress updates and they are already exploring acceleration options that came in a report less than a year ago, so this is really unnecessary. But asking for...

My understanding is that these were removed to allow for builder activity - this wasn’t a case of a car knocking them off. Not sure why they didn’t put them back in after… but the point stands that these bollards are a strange choice.
