not counting Jasper Ave, vacant lots in Oliver are down to what, half dozen or so? Here's hoping there's some movement on the empty lots on Jasper and 111, 114, 115, 116, 121, 123st. What a transformation that would be.

I fear this will have some bad outcomes. In the past the city would pass all the collected trees through the wood chipper and use the resultant mulch for weed control...
not just private vehicles. taxis, ubers, delivery trucks, ambulances, police, fire, busses, not everything can be accommodated by LTR and bicycles. I guess I must apologize to the citizenry for having the gall to own a car. There is no street downtown that is "prioritized for private vehicles"...
"IMO it is not that hard to look for and just follow the signs, but perhaps for some people it is." signage is not the problem, half streets and avenues that go no where is the problem. And that, my friend, was one of the most passive-aggressive sentences I've ever read.

the photo above (the basilica) shows the tusk shaped streetlights and the very industrial, 90 degree everywhere shorter posts for sidewalk lighting. I like them both on their own but my reaction to seeing them together is negative. The soft organic shape of the tusk is in unequal opposition to...
I think the city should impose surtaxes on any pick-up truck registered to a city address but is not associated with any business. I know that's not everyone's take but seriously, it's crazy seeing a lot of them trying to maneuver city parking lots. plus, I have no idea how that would work.
think maybe they went to the end-of-the-roll traffic light store and bought a mish-mash of stuff. wonder if they're going to leave all those barricades and safety cones out all through the winter.
I believe this is the Mustard Seed: sigh https://www.ctvnews.ca/edmonton/article/crews-responding-to-central-edmonton-church-fire/?taid=692cc1ec3977f80001783083&utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter
doubt an Earls, Joey's is only a block away. Keg is usually stand alone. (Debbie Downer, I know). Wouldn't mind a King Taps (tho also owned by Earls/Cactus Club)
