I have a feeling that those who program the light cycles have simply applied some default timings for now with the ultimate timings being tweaked as real traffic flow data is gathered and analyzed.

heated parkade ramps don't melt the snow to water which then runs down the ramp and into the drains. the snow melts and quickly turns to vapour. There's no build up of liquid water.

not just private vehicles. taxis, ubers, delivery trucks, ambulances, police, fire, busses, not everything can be accommodated by LTR and bicycles. I guess I must apologize to the citizenry for having the gall to own a car. There is no street downtown that is "prioritized for private vehicles"...

to be fair, (to be faaaaiiirrr🎶), there's a big difference between today's pick-ups and those I grew up with in the 70s and 80s.

I think the city should impose surtaxes on any pick-up truck registered to a city address but is not associated with any business. I know that's not everyone's take but seriously, it's crazy seeing a lot of them trying to maneuver city parking lots. plus, I have no idea how that would work.

think maybe they went to the end-of-the-roll traffic light store and bought a mish-mash of stuff. wonder if they're going to leave all those barricades and safety cones out all through the winter.
