I find it interesting that we are still seeing that design for Tower B and the height as well. I'm assuming these are just the original renders they had. Very cool though. I agree with Platinum and that it will really liven up the area.

This is the Tower B i would like to see built out of all the renderings and heights we've seen proposed for this site. (These were just taken off of Google search for Ice District Tower B)

Personally I think they will go through with it too. I don't foresee them reducing the proposed height either. Based off of articles i;ve read, Aldritt is looking to make a statement and stamp their legacy in Edmonton.

Okay sweet, thanks. I don't live in Edmonton any more but I have family who does. I took that screenshot from Rogers Place time lapse cams, hence why I couldn't see the whole landscape and had to ask.

Man, so many projects being proposed. What a great time for Edmonton. Here's to hoping most of them go through. According to a conversion, 50 stories equates to approximately 165m. I guess we'll find out come Tuesday

Agreed. Although I've always liked the final. It's a shame that the heights aren't going to be what was initially thought /planned.

I hope you're right. I hope they pack some height as that would be a prime location to erect a tall tower (200m or more) with a view in the heart of down town. I really wouldn't mind a tower with a spire. Anyone else?

I wouldn't be disappointed if it was. But i will say, the "X Tower" looked better and had a lot more character which would have given our downtown some much needed diversity as far as shape and design goes.

If memory serves correctly, one of the renderings for the ice district had a movie playing off the screens of the outter wall of Rogers Place. The part that juts out across the street that contains Ford Hall, that outter wall. Perhaps that's what they're taking about? That or maybe Cineplex or...
