7012 Whyte Ave now and in better times when the Burger Baron was open:

I wouldn’t sweat this. Burger Baron has plenty of locations around the city, and this particular one is in an industrial corner where Whyte Ave becomes a freeway
I’m not sweating. It’s freezing, but this could be a hot corner for another fast food spot considering the high traffic and it’s convenient to turn in.

Ideally visitors wouldn’t see an eyesore as soon as they enter Edmonton.

Ravi Prakash, chair of the Edmonton-based O & O Group of Companies, says the hospitality sector remains a resilient and growing industry despite economic pressures, international tariffs and shifting post-pandemic conditions.
Prakash said the company operates about 23 restaurants under multiple quick-service brands, including Second Cup, Marble Slab and Pita Pit. O & O is preparing to open its first Jimmy John’s location in Sherwood Park in mid-January and plans between 12 and 14 more outlets in the Edmonton region over the next two years.

An American fast food chain that will open its first location in Sherwood Park - I'll pass on both counts.
I'll continue to support O & O with my attendance at Second Cup.

Olia with a group of friends for holiday dinner and drinks yesterday. Did not disappoint. Quality of the ingredients, flavours, seasoning, portions, presentation, service, everything is top notch. Had only been once before during soft launch to sample a few things. Pappardelle stood out, always love a good tartar. Shared the T-bone with anchovy butter and sautéed mushrooms.

Had been looking forward to this for a while. Afterwards nice to retire to Mimi for some post dinner drinks and chat. Atmosphere is of course second-to-none.

I'll take your Leopold and raise you a Kindred - bad service AND terrible food!
Kindred is the biggest catfish I’ve ever had locally.

Leopolds you expect what you get. Kindred you essentially expect Olia, but the only similarity is the bill. Everything else is so disappointing.
