I think EPS still has cops assigned to an ECC Mall beat (can't recall if ECC pays for this, but I'd imagine so?). This would be a couple of them doing their regular lap with ECC security. Whenever I'm out that way I see these patrols, with more cops patrolling alongside security inside.

Yeah, that is still a thing. Saw them patrolling this week or last with mall security, and today saw them getting lunch in the mall as I was doing the same.

The time of these random attacks makes it extra concerning. I typically think of these things happening in the middle of the night, not 10:15am. so brazen

The fact that you never see our EPS regularly patrolling downtown doesn't help either.
