We desperately need an Edmonton School of Architecture; the hope is that it would become another critical branch of study that would shine a light on the poor standard we are currently dealing with in residential apartment design in particular..

Meadowlark isn't particularly suburban, least of all in this location. LRT construction has made traffic here a pain though.

I was referring to the style of building. (It was supposed to be ironic but clearly that didnt come through in text) And yea LRT construction is a pain around the area.

Well the LRT tram Construction will be with us for a while but hopefully when it's done it will make the area a little bit nicer and a bit more accessible.

This is a project by Claroscuro, the same firm that was recently rejected by EDC for their proposal on the St. Anthony site in Strathcona. We desperately need UofA or MacEwan to offer an architecture degree in the city. The city deserves better architecture.

Write to the U of A Cities Institute. They're figuring out their course offerings right now.

Yup, but not all projects go through EDC . I'm pretty sure this one didn't.

This building is fuuuuugggly! Seriously, why can't (won't?) we build better in this city.

I truly believe Edmonton is not seen as a place that it 'home' - but rather, a place to extract revenue from, make it rich and move - leaving us citizens with this crap! Where is the design committee?!

This could have been improved significantly if they had just done the balconies in the red trim outline, and omitted the other vertical red panelling and the red balcony insets.

Sometimes less is more.
