Welcome! And when I saw the images too, I thought how could the building look dated before it's built? After lurking for many years, these latest photos compelled me to register just to say OUCH. We need a sharp u-turn on what's passing for acceptable design across the city these days
Many such cases. This sort of look was played out by 2012.Welcome! And when I saw the images too, I thought how could the building look dated before it's built?![]()
I'm with you. At least there's some color to it.I'm probably the only one who doesn't hate how it looks. The grey squares by the windows are probably unnecessary and the street level activation could be better, but in person I don't think it looks awful.
Likewise. Structurally the design leaves some to be desired, but a lot of the higher density developments on the west end are FAR worse than this. I can see the RMS building from my balcony and I take no issue with it.I'm on the fence. I don't hate it but I don't love it. It's just - there.
Why does Edmonton default to comparing developments to the worst in the City; it would be more useful to compare it to the best the City has to offer. This so-so building trend has to stop -- the latest abomination is now proposed for Old Strathcona. These ugly buildings are ruining the City one block at a time.
