Is it dead? This thread started in 2017 and the leasing brochure came out Feb 2018, 5 years ago. Given what's happened over the past couple of years I cant see the food hall, office concept going forward which is probably why this has been so slow/ hasnt taken off.

I'm guessing that it is a myriad of factors including, but not limited to:

-COVID
-Financing costs
-Lack of demand for Downtown living
-Lack of demand for Downtown retail
-Lack of clarity about the viability of a food hall given WFH and nearby plans/competition
-Other priorities

Not sure what's going to happen here. Increasing costs and interest rates certainly don't help. It's not an easy project either way.

I just assume any development that includes office space is dead. There is a lot of vacancy that still needs to be worked through.

it might not be quite dead yet but my guess is you're likely to see the hive under construction first and i wouldn't try to hold my breath waiting for it to start...

This project has so much potential based on the renderings and concept. I hope it's not dead in the water but not recalling holding my breath here. I feel it could really capture the spillover affect from activity from the Ice District, especially on game nights + concerts and activate a dead (and at times, sketchy) street.
