Isn't that the area where the gondola is proposed to have its final stop? Maybe this lays the groundwork for that?

That's correct. The north terminus will be adjacent to said new connecting and hopefully incorporated.

The little building at the corner of 124 street & 107 ave (former 7/11 I think) is now blocked off. The images & shades sign is down and the for lease signs are gone too. I know there was an interesting proposal for this site but I couldn't find it, sorry. Hopefully this is a sign of something positive about to happen.
