A months since our last update, and progress at the site of Infiniti has been moving along nicely, the 6-storey residential development now standing at 2/3 of its final height. The structure's rapid ascent owing largely to its wood frame construction, it would seem that Infiniti is closer than one might think, the Brian Allsopp Architect-designed mid-rise soon to top off from its site in Queen Mary Park.

Built atop a former underground parking garage along 105 Ave NW, Infiniti presented some unique challenges, the project having previously been left dormant for years before crews reactivated the site a few months ago.

Rising fast today, the wood frame Infiniti will eventually be clad in a mix of white, grey, red, and black spandrel panels, each of which will represent a different form of distinct colour blocking, thereby giving the development a bold exterior aesthetic.

Located just a block north of Oliver Square, residents will be well-connected to shopping and other amenities, the downtown core just a five minute drive away.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
