Dating back to 2014, Infiniti has been in the works for more than four years. Thus it is likely with a sense of relief for local residents in Oliver that it appears that the 6-storey residential mid-rise project has at long last begun its ascent.

Viewed above and below, construction crews have been hard at work, the mid-rise tower having today risen one storey above grade. Built on top of an existing underground parking garage, Infiniti poses the extra challenge of integrating two structures together as opposed to starting completely from scratch.

Designed by Brian Allsopp Architect, the long, low design of the complex has been broken up to a large degree via the use of bold colour blocking, the bottom half clad in in grey, the upper in white, while vertical red and black accents are featured across the entirety of the structure.

Once complete, the project will be a welcome addition to Oliver, the development to place residents within the heart of the bustling neighbourhood just to the west of the downtown core.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
