The Journal has very poor Alberta business coverage and even their political coverage is not so great anymore. I don't look at the Herald often, but certain things do seem to be covered better by it.Not sure why anyone in YEG would read the Herald…..should try local news……
Yeah, it was casually suggested that it would be a joint bid by the mere suggestion of using both arenas and stadiums in BOTH AB cities as well as Whistler……Gawd willing we NEVER get to that point….

Interesting, this seems to be in keeping with the current multi location approach to the winter Olympics probably partly because it is to expensive to build many new facilities in all one place.
I don't know how serious this is and also wonder given Calgary gave it the thumbs down a few years ago if they would really be that enthusiastic. If so maybe time to give it to a winter city that hasn't hosted before, like ... Edmonton! Perhaps we could make it two (or three) locations with us, Jasper and/or some place in BC.
