They've been making snow at the Edmonton Ski Club in Gallagher Park for the past few days.

OEG is apparently converting the former rink into a snowshoe park. Such a dead space too much of the time.

They posted on their social media the other day, stating that it hadn't opened yet "due to maintenance", but to keep an eye on their social media for more updates when they become available. I feel like "maintenance" is just code for "oops, we forgot about it". They've basically abandoned this space for the Fan Park and, as with much of ID, that's really disappointing.

Maybe they plan a game of 'Fox in the Hen House'? Actually it may have more to do with the imminent construction of the Connect Centre Office Tower adjacent to the community space -- I believe the "i"s have been dotted and the "t"s crossed on a new major office tenant move.

It is very visible, right in front of the bloody entrance! So I really find it hard to believe it was forgotten about. There could be some maintenance issue or problem, these days it can take months to get parts for things.
