Looks like construction on the guideway on 175 Street will start October 15.

Glad to see Valley Line ridership pickup from 138,000 in November and 145,800 in January to 223,000 in April. Almost 2 million riders to August indicates they've been averaging around that mark since.

Does anyone recall what the original ridership forecast was for Valley Line SE? And how that compares to these new stats?

28,000 per weekday, we're at roughly a third of that number as of April.

Walking downtown Calgary I will say the low floor lrt was a good decision for a surface level option through the core. In Calgary the high floor heavy trains are quite loud rumbling through compared to the valley line.
