The Valley Line LRT is by far the closest and the Capital/ Metro Lines not much further Although some buses would be just as close that use 100 St, because of Taste of Edmonton those are on detour and have temporary bus stops elsewhere. Some parkades are quite close.

I submitted 311 and dm’d TransEd again about gravel all over the tracks and sidewalk by the winspear. Clearly hasn’t been swept.

And clearly the city has 0 accountability for TransEd

There are still gravel-filled MUPs in the SW despite 311 requests made over a month ago now. Disappointing but not entirely surprising
 
Shameful. But not surprising. Serious question: does anyone who work for the city not notice this and send emails up the food chain? I mean, should not the DT councillor know about this already? Or one of the many city supervisors or managers? I mean, one does not have to work for transit or streets to call this in. The lack of 'ownership' by city staff is indicative of the culture. Dream big, ask for lots of tax dollars, but lose interest in the follow thru as they chase the next big 'revitalization'.

Not that it changes the fact that those suck but I am wondering about who has jurisdiction there. It may be the city and not transed.. Mark Beare is pretty active on Linkedin, might even be worth a reach out to him directly.

I suspect it isn't TransEd's responsibility Downtown. TransEd's contractors were working all week on maintaining the landscaping along the VLSE, specifically along 83 St, and that looks quite good. I can't imagine with how good that looks that they would just ignore Downtown.

Idk. Me harassing them on Instagram got the end of line cleaned up finally and on 311 tickets they say “directed to external organization” or something like that any time I submit.

Feels like TransEd work.

I think it would clearly be their responsibility on the tracks. But I wonder if downtown the row ends at the curb.
