Yes to the east
This will be beside the brand new storage building built for the SE line? Where? To the East of it?
But beside the Lewis Estates park n’ride is a facility under construction……I believe that's the plan
Their emails say they're building a light maintenance facility at Lewis FarmsSo with this building being built on the Southside, does that mean they won't be building anything on the westend?
I think it's mostly for storage and cleaning.Their emails say they're building a light maintenance facility at Lewis Farms
And logistics. It will take over an hour to get from one end to the other so this will allow them to dispatch a train from the west end on schedule rather than deadheading.I think it's mostly for storage and cleaning.
Fair enough, TransEd probably does share in the blame, which while it can be shared, can't be delegated. However, the common denominator in all the projects that have had delays or problems is the city.Part of the blame needs to lie with TransEd, especially if 5-years down the line Valley Line West opens on time, which would show timeliness depends on the contractors as well. From what I've seen / heard from Marigold Partners, they seem to have their stuff together more than TransEd thus far in the project.
It'll be worth it in the long run! To think, we'll finally have an LRT going to West Ed; not only a busy mall, but a busy transit center as well. This is long overdue.Traffic in the west end is going to be such a cluster F the next few years. add in 124st and coming downtown from the west will be a fun challenge.
