I'm forced to wonder why the U of A isn't building right next to the train station that runs through their campus. Still happy about this.

^they will soon be developing South Campus, but this is a separate project and in addition to anything over there.

What is the intent there by the way? Predominantly housing or more institutional?

I have not seen an updated (if there is one) plan, but it was far more mixed use/types than the north campus.

Keep in mind that the UBC Properties Trust is 30 years old now and that their Surrey Satellite is 25yrs in the making and was stagnant for more than a decade.

I get the feeling the U of A isn't really that interested in downtown expansion. Enterprise Square seems to be static at best.
