Its good to hear this, if this is the trend and California is known to set many trends. I expect it gets old and tired after a while sitting at home in your pajamas waiting for packages from Amazon to arrive. That is so 2020.

Sometimes it is nice to go out and visit interesting local places and if you see something nice, you can just get it then and don't have to wait for it to arrive.
I have my packages delivered to my favourite bar. No pyjamas and no wasted time.

Yes, but the design of Cobalt and MB aren't as cookie cutter as other mid-rise buildings. Noise transfer can be horrible between units. I'm only living in concrete buildings now for this reason.

You lose a portion of renters if your building isn't concrete construction. You also risk damage during construction.

The most solid mid-rise building I've been in has to be Sync 111, an Eagle Builders product.

My comment was aimed at those who justify this deplorable trend to 6-storey stick-framed buildings like they have just found the Holy Grail of Architecture when in fact all they are building -- with some notable exceptions -- is the next generation of slum-magnets. I remember listening to the same lame excuses back in the '70s and '80s of the last centuries when the 3-storey walk-ups were in grand proliferation and justified as the "need" for a fast-growing City. It was tongue-in-cheek sarcasm.
