The Hat - St.Albert

Its close to the main roads and Ray Gibbons dr, There are starting to be new amenities out that side so it shouldn't impact other areas much. The new Pool rec centre will be a few blocks away. Its close to a couple of schools. There is a COOP south of it.

This gives me the same vibe as a new Moscow suburban residential building, respectfully

Moscow's new suburban developments looking denser and more liveable than our central neighbourhoods, in a country poorer and more chaotic than Canada...

I personally believe that Canadian suburbs vs. Russian suburbs exemplify the two extreme ends of suburban development, and neither are very good or effective. Our cities sprawl too much with low-density car-oriented development, and theirs sprawl with inhuman and out-of-scale high-density towers with little attention paid to the pedestrian experience. Both are built cheaply tho!

I think we need to find a balance between these two models lol

It's because it's the Capital and Putin would never have it look anything unlike a first-world country's capital. Go to any City outside of it, save maybe St. Petersburg (his hometown), and you'll see a MUCH different picture.
