The Edmonton Elks - CFL

Love the hiring of Morris. He checks a lot of boxes. Now he needs to hire a good GM and a good VP of Business Ops to help him out. Like the first two steps the org has made in the complete rebuild though: (1) Thompson as owner and (2) Morris as President. Two big steps in the right direction.

Was there not the whole controversy of him isolating from and conflicting with others which was part of what led to his firing during his last stint here?

Yup. He apparently didn't get along with our president at the time, Len Rhodes. And they let him go based on how he rubbed some people the wrong way.
 
I mean his time in BC was rough as well... like when he signed a side agreement with Mike Reilly to guarantee part of his contract, and didn't tell the league or BC Lion's ownership.
