Given the success of Stadium Yards and future/upcoming phases and the tower rezoned site, how about we hop across the tracks and look to the area from 112ave south to the cement plant.

I'd love to see a pub or two there for games, with density above to support things other days and make this into a proper community mini-hub for the area.

A little more variation in scale and more land dedicated to park and landscape amenities would be encouraging. The first development that "jumped the tracks" was an absolute abomination. Solid developers hiring skilled architects such as was done vis-a-vis Rohit would be well worth supporting.

Is that referring to Stadium Plaza?

^ No it is referring to a mid-rise apartment housing project just south of the stadium and a little to the west (I can't recall the jurisdictional thread *I try to mentally block out the crap that gets built in the City!

Just down the road from Stadium Yards, another big brownfield development opportunity: EPCOR McCauley Water Works site is for sale - "York Lands" - already rezoned for medium scale residential.

It'd be great if they could find a way to further enclose the parking lot in a way that allows for a portion of a building to front onto the LRT path. Still, that's exciting to see!!

They removed the temporary wooden walls where the glass was broken and they have replaced them with some sort of plexiglass that only goes up 1/3 of the way. Kinda hard to see here but the top 2/3rds is open. They did it with all the previously broken glass panels. Kinda weird but keeps the open look while definitely being cheaper/more durable.

Why don’t we build things like we’re a winter city?

That panel looks to be the same dimensions as the old windows panels next to it. Maybe they'll order more of these to cover the rest of the gaps if the pexiglass holds up to abuse? No sense in spending lots on more expensive pexiglass panels just to find out they're still no match for a guy on drugs with a rock. It could also be budgetary; at one of the last council meetings before the election, administration did commented that the costs associated with this sort of vandalism are outpacing their maintenance budget.
