FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

Enoch Cree Nation is breaking ground on a new luxury hotel expansion at the
River Cree Resort and Casino! Including over 230 hotel rooms, 40,000+ square
feet of event space, a brand new pool and 2 waterslides, the hotel expansion
is set to open Spring 2027.

Good for them, River Cree continues to expand and revamp their offerings. Looks like this will be quite a nice building.

Not to burst their bubble or anything, but at one point their current hotel offering was branded a Marriott until they pulled their brand due to the owners not being able to "hold" the brand. Curious to see if they will try to re-brand in the future......

Indian Lakes shut down for safety reasons because they found live munitions dating back to when the DND used it as a bombing range.

They were wanting the GoC to help with ordinace finding and clearing. But they had wanted to add another 18 holes and found the ammunition. The range was used in the First WW and may be earlier. They found some ammunition from the NWMP. I liked the course when it was open. but it did fall into a bit of disrepair. before they closed it.
One of the things they need to do is make a proper concert venue. The current one has real bad sound.
