Was this already on our radar?

Mixed use midrise on the bike lane would be great. 👍
This property was fully stripped down and rebuilt 2 years ago. It was converted to 3 office spaces on three levels. I think now they are looking to see it rezoned to allow residential again?

It won't be rebuilt.

The row housing renovation next to it is great for the neighbourhood, but painting the brick is a crime.
No kidding. Few renovations are as big of an aesthetic crime as painting red brick into a faux modern black/white. It looks terrible now and will look 10x worse in a decade.

It’s actually on par with the neighbourhood (I live a block from here). It always amazes me that people overlook these classic beauties and instead buy some suburban box for the same or a higher price. To each their own I guess

Maybe because "these classic beauties" have much higher maintenance costs, are in areas with higher property taxes and ageing infrastructure and are 80 years old.

I figured it's lower-priced then similar four squares in the neighbourhood, but maybe there's something wrong with it that the listing isn't describing.

I, too, live in an old house (1915) that is in quite good shape, but thankfully the City has assessed it at a stupid low valuaction so my property taxes are minimal. If I was in Westmount with the same house, I'd be likely be paying double what I do now.
