I'm just glad the previous house is finally gone!

The guy owned one of those junk cleanup services, and he was hoarding all kinds of stuff he'd picked up in about 10 garden sheds on the property. He was also renting the house out by the room, and it was "furnished" with very sketchy looking furniture, I suspect also from his junk pickup business.. 🤢

And thankful to not have to look at that crudely spraypainted "HOUSE FOR SALE" sign he had prominently displayed in the front yard.
 
Are you thinking of the site on the SE corner of 114 Street and 76 Ave?
That's the one......so this isn't that lot?

**EDIT** - I read @fromyeg's post wrong. I inadvertently misinterpreted it as "across the street" from Ian's project, rather than the station...my bad...

 
Might look like Ed Gooch, but its by Start Architecture and they do a lot of institutional design. The guts of the building are definitely closer to what you would see in long term care facilities. There are actually four towers, similar to the ones you see in the picture you posted. Still, definitely odd exterior design. It should be a fairly big development, though.

Thats a pretty dated design. Get ride of the top and it will be ok.

Will if I have time. If I don't, here's how you can check:

1. Go to https://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/council-committee-meetings/
2. Once a meeting has passed, click on it and select "Minutes" in either HTML or PDF. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for the minutes to be published.
3. Any motion/vote will have the result in bold on the right.

Unfortunately, it's not concise by any means and there's no compiled list of carried/defeated rezonings at a glance, so it's really only quick to check specific results. You can check a public hearing from last month for an example, item 3.26 was an RM rezoning in Belgravia, and it passing third reading means the rezoning went through.

No picture as I was driving, but this is well underway. Steel framing for 3 floors is up, no walls or glazing yet though. Looks like it'll have a nice presence beside their residential 'tower'
