And it wasn't just the building - it was the junk filled driveway behind it, complete with an abandoned vehicle. THB, seeing how many fires our fine feathered friends, the "unhoused", start on a regular basis all over downtown, I'm kinda shocked it's managed to stay up for as long as it has.

Its about time, I can't count all the renos I've been involved with there over the years. 10 years ago they were talking about a new facility.

Out at ENOC for a meeting today, River Cree Development is incredible, The Hotel project is quite big, Then the Healthcare Surgical clinic, The Rehab , Golf Experience and the Wellness centre. The place is booming. And it looks like a lot more work is planned.

Yes, to some extent. If the ownership is competent and wants to move ahead rather than just sit on it, that is helpful. However, this area is chock full of empty lots that once had houses or older buildings on them.

Some are owned by the city, which does not seem not motivated and I'm not sure about competent either, but I guess many of the rest are probably various private owners.

Good to hear, I want to see some healthy First Nations development competition between them and Tsuut'ina. Two First Nations adjacent to Alberta's two largest cities, so ramping up development just makes sense.

This area could be one of the densest in our city beyond Whikwentowin/garneau once finished.

We badly should have got the capital line extension to be 2 more stops to heritage valley.

It likely will, which is pretty bad when considering that its deep in suburbia with (currently) pretty subpar transit access and walkability. Suburbs should be dense, but the inner city should be denser imo lol
