Miscellaneous

Looks like something from a Charles dickens story, the dour poorhouse coated with dirty soot.

Over the course of the past 6 months since the reno to this towhome complex began, there were numerous areas of brick that had been tagged by 'artists' with black spray paint, including several windows. Maybe the owner gave up and thought let's paint the whole thing black.
Get ready to see some new artwork in white paint soon.

Didn’t you mention before when asked about “Varsity” that you had never heard of it? Have new intel on it now?

The current era reminds me somewhat of the 60's and 70's when there was not much respect or regard for anything historical. Fortunately, that time ended and so will the current fashion too at some point.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 or 15 years they will be removing black paint from brick in a number of such places and restoring a more original look. Hopefully it will not be too damaged in the process, that is my concern.
