The first three projects and the 5th are identified as having the most significant impact on traffic congestion and will likely be receiving funding in the 2027-30 budget. The others will depend on how much council wants to spend on road widening versus other priorities.

Well its about time. The room is there for it66 St from Ellerslie to 23 Ave, does that include widening the bridge over the Henday?
From Councillor Parmar's Facebook page:
So many people have asked me about upgrading 215 Street. It’s happening! 215 will be temporarily closed to accommodate construction between March 31st, 2026 and February 27th, 2027. Timelines can shift.
Brookfield will be responsible for the blue stretch shown as Stage 2A. With the Stage 3 portion being completed by Rohit/Anthem.
Please use 45 Avenue to 199 Street and the Anthony Henday as alternate routes during this time. Thank you for your patience during construction. Looking forward to a smooth, freshly paved roadway with a shoulder.\

There is? It’s kinda tight in front of Ellerslie Elementary and all of that weird piece meal compounds/commercial jammed in there…..Well it’s about time. The room is there for it
Well at least on the north side of Henday. On the southside it is a pretty big mess. Hopefully they will finally tidy it up to make more sense since south of Ellerslie it is a good road. There is? I'm a little confused how 41 Ave from QE2 to James Mowatt is that expensive. The portion from the highway to Allard Rd is basically already twinned, it would just need some changes at the Allard Rd intersection, then the block between Allard and James Mowatt. Unless there's land acquisition included in that figure maybe? Made more confusing when comparing to the 66 Street upgrade, which includes a bridge and about 5x the length being almost the same price. The first three projects and the 5th are identified as having the most significant impact on traffic congestion and will likely be receiving funding in the 2027-30 budget.
