Walked by today and there was HVAC work being done on the SW corner of the site. Not sure if that would be related. There is also a bobcat and a backhoe (I think) parked next to it as well.
 
Wish there were larger retail bays planned to accommodate a new grocery store. Would be a great location for loblaw city market or something similar. Tons of students living in East Campus/university ave area Would benefit

The old Sobeys location further down 112st is opening up as a H Mart, which is a Korean grocery store. Although I agree a grocer very close to the HUB LRT would be VERY useful!
 
Passed two readings unanimously at Council today (needs regional review before the 3rd for some reason). No opposition, lots of praise for MacLab's community engagement process, even earning a great speech by Todd Babiuk.
