Luxury Real Estate in Alberta

Yes, the all white walls are a bit too sterile for me although the black and white on the stairs is a great contrast, the flooring and furniture in this case also.

The wallpaper in the earlier one was a bit too much for me, but otherwise the colour was fine. However, I realize we live in an era where the current trend is colour phobia.

$3.9 million in Canmore. "Can More" be bought for this price?

I'm curious about the size of these places - what do people DO with all that space? I'm stumped. Our condo is about 1,200 square feet and other than bike storage (my husband is a firm proponent of the n+1 school of bikes) we're not really in need of more space. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume most of these places are not homes to families with 10 kids, so...what goes on there?

So one needs a smoking room, a reading room, a meditation room, a thumb-twiddling room, a card room, a games room, and an elephant room... c'mon, isn't it obvious!

I honestly do not understand that either. My partner and I are looking into a 3bdrm + den, 1800sqft townhome (including basement) right now, for a family of 4, and that would be plenty of space for all of us, and might even be too big once the kids move out. All that I think about is how much time and money goes into maintenance alone in these large places.

Yes and in some of these pictures the furniture seems like islands in a sea of space. I suppose some people get all this excess space just because they can, but so much of it seems wasted or unused.

Canmore has a shit ton of these mid 80’s townhome builds that need complete gut jobs that are also worth more than they should be
