MacEwan, Edmonton transit team up to boost rider safety, security
Digital Experience Design students spent a semester looking at ways to address safety and security on Edmonton transit.edmontonjournal.com
I believe these are the posters that came from MacEwan students during a collaboration with ETS. They look good. This poster has been in Corona Station since around June 24 (when I first saw it and took the picture)

I think the sign is too wordy and doesn't stand out enough for an average person to read it. Ideally, the message needs to be info graphically presented with huge font sizes and pictures using as few words as possible. the sign needs to be VERY obvious if they want to grab attention. It really needs to shorten it up down to a few main points. This poster has been in Corona Station since around June 24 (when I first saw it and took the picture)

Not discounting his experience but it was before most offices returned to work as well as post-secondary students to school and obviously the more people that use the LRT and transit in general, the greater the perception of safety.I've taken trains in many countries. I've only been scared here, on my ride home
A terrifying late-night journey has me questioning the cracks in Edmonton’s LRT
Yup, and that's why most North American rapid transit systems that experienced drastic ridership declines over the pandemic saw a simultaneous increase in crime, disorder, etc.Generally speaking, the busiest systems are by far the safest.
that’s true… and it’s equally true for streets and sidewalks and parks and buildings.Generally speaking, the busiest systems are by far the safest.
