Me as well. Those were the days of being humped over a drafting board for hours on end creating sheets and sheets of design drawings. Now I don't even bother with prints anymore. All of the drawings are done on computer (no more hunching) and are sent via PDF files to agencies having jurisdiction (corrections -- there are always corrections-- are noted in typed form and PDF red-lines) the stamped approved drawings are again PDF-form and are emailed or "dropboxed" to builders who take them onsite via their iPads. I can see that Riley's was one of the casualties of a big change in the profession vis-a-vis printing. My memory has moments of melancholy; my back is mighty thankful for the change.

Now there is a photograph! -- accidental or not -- a serene and peaceful sunset juxtaposed against a rubble heap with a "walk" sign beckoning the viewer to venture closer to take in the destruction. Metaphors abound. Even the leafless Elms speak to desolation and the yearning for a new season (if only they knew what was planned in lieu of what was given up). The compositional factor of "thirds" neatly pulls it all together and the tiered form of the background building leads the eye to the main point of the photograph. Excellent work @northlands = A+

Thanks for the kind words @archited it was definitely accidental, just passing by after getting kitty litter and thought I'd snap a quick iPhone pic for the homies here.

Forgot to mention, in the short minute I was there I saw two other people come and take photos of the site also.

I was really impressed with that crew; the southernmost building, which was the last one standing, literally came down overnight.

Wouldn't it be great to see Norquest just north of this u/c, this site, Maclab on the funeral home, the loft project just south and phase 2 of Parks!
