On our walk tonight it we came across these new additions...
Am I the only one who finds the new water feature a massive disappointment? It's a letdown even from the unexciting initial renderings. The rocks, which were supposed to be large and imposing, are easy to miss. To have taken such an absolutely stellar park and turn it into this? Yikes...Can't wait for summer!

I don’t need to wait. That thing is so lame haha. It’ll get some use of course, but what a drop in vision/design.Let's wait and see, but thus far the old design was far more interesting and 'fun'.
I agree. We're a winter city, and our outdoor spaces should be designed in a way where we don't spend four-six months every year waiting until the warmer months for said space to be appealing.I don’t need to wait. Might as well add some painted lines and call it overflow parking…
You're not the only one. When I saw that photo, my initial thought was "are you kidding me?".Am I the only one who finds the new water feature a massive disappointment? watching the kids play in the old space was so much fun: climbing, jumping, stomping up and down, all things that some risk-averse lawyer types probably figured were too dangerous. sigh... and if they were indeed set on going with safety first, they still could have done so much better. You're not the only one.
