I hope so too, but if they can't fill any CRUs in The Quarter Note Hotel I can't imagine this will fare much better being a block away from the Bissell tent city.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, but even subsidized spaces need customers and it's hard enough to convince people to go downtown let alone literally metres from homeless addicts defiantly showing off their stolen goods by the rail path.

If that ends up being the case unfortunately I don't see this acting as much of a catalyst.

But who knows, it could be ripe for a scaling tech company given the cool factor or even a contemporary light manufacturing spot.

I heard the Edmonton Arts Council was looking at the space - would be neat but not exactly a tenant that would catalyze development in the area.

Most of the work for this project is going on inside, so you won't notice a ton externally.
