Confusing chart.Edmonton sees record increase in frostbite amputations, despite innovative treatment
People without housing made up a majority of frostbite amputation patients in Edmonton and Calgary last winter
If I'm reading it right, I *think* the Y-axis represents the raw number of frostbite-related amputations zone-wide, the "% unhoused" labels indicate how much much of a given year's amputation total involved homeless patients, and then the X-axis is the fiscal year (in my day job, the April-March fiscal year is the bane of my existence and I deeply wish we'd be normal friggin people and align our fiscal year with the calendar year :').
