General Food & Dining Thread

  • The former MilkCrate space in the Epcor Tower will be filled by another location of Hearth and Hive this summer (they took over the Dining Car Cafe last year in the CN Tower).
  • El Taco Loco, a Spruce Grove taqueria, had opened an Edmonton location back in November. Unfortunately, they have closed it due to an issue with the building manager.

This likely explains why that that space on 100 Ave and 116 St has been such a black hole.

Finally got around to trying El Corazon in Glenora. Had no idea it even existed there because of all the LRT construction junk in the way. Foolishly forgot to take any pictures, but tried the cucumber basa ceviche, the beef barbacoa tacos, and a mysterious and enigmatic soup. Ceviche is the best I've had outside of Mexico, and I'll be going back to try the Sloppy Jose because of the funny name.

Poured one out for our BP's 106 hommies. RIP.

Some of my co-workers are saddened by the demise of this BP.
Me? I would be more sad if Famoso shuts their doors.
Their tomato bisque is tough to beat. Also, one of the only gluten-free crusts that isn't completely inedible, alongside Domino's of all places.
