General Food & Dining Thread

I am a bit wary of generalizations, but I think this is mostly correct. It is the wrong market for this.

I think the initial mistake some often make is focusing to much on income levels, then making assumptions from this about demand for upscale things, rather than trying to understand the community better. .
Couldn't disagree more......income levels are high......demand is there....do you presume they didn't do a market study?

I didn't say if they did a market study or not, if they did perhaps the flawed thinking I referred to was embedded in it. If the demand is there, then it should probably be doing better.

It is always hard to predict whether something new in an area will be successful, but high income levels do not guarantee the neighbourhood has champagne tastes.

Chop seems to be doing well

Still no sign of O'Byrne's from inside the MNP tower lobby

Based on the address I'm assuming this is the 109th St location, but why include pictures of the Whyte Ave / Raymond Block location? Makes it seem like they're selling both.

Tried out Rob's Famous Fried Chicken near Stadium Yards for dinner. The jumbo strips and Hollywood sauce are so excellent that I'll keep coming back for more! However, I'll only be doing takeout since there are just 2 tables and no washroom.
