I think Ragazzi is the crowd favourite and hard to compete with, but personally I have a soft spot for Tony's as my overall favourite. All the good memories there probably skew my opinion a bit though haha

Not something I would suggest people try to compare, But my wife and I were talking about food in hospitals yesterday. GR is not the best in fact quite bad at times. I tend to bring food in for her. But we have to say Sturgeon had the best overall meals. U of A had the best breakfasts. When she started on solid foods again at the U the meals were interesting in style. Lemon dill salmon. another night butter chicken. And who ever makes their lasagna is good. The vegetarian one is good t both the U and GR.

Hit up May on 124st today for brunch. We were the second group in right at 10am and it was a bit quiet until closer to 11, but picked up.
Both dishes were good, but kept me wanting a little more of something. That said, the value for $ is high given the portions and quality. Service was ok.
Milk Bread French Toast $22
Buttermilk fried chicken thigh, fermented hot sauce, maple syrup, vanilla cream
Cornbread Benny $22
Peameal bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise, chimichurri, house potatoes

Yup! Especially now with Hockey season starting. Nothing like parking in Epcor and indulging at Buco pregame. Simple pastas and their Ribeye is a steal for 2 people to share with their Arancini and Galamad aka Calamari to start with …..now you made me hungry

With my grandmother recently having stayed in the Mis, I would confidently vote them as last. Just horrible.

My wife said for quite a while the food was made off site and brought to the hospitals reheated. Now they cook on site again.

Both Fawkes and Bar Oro were hopping today. Bar Oro has expanded its menu and its hours. Their patio is heated and seems quite popular. As for Fawkes, I've never seen it not almost at capacity.

Hmmmm……this could bode well for an expansion of the Keg. “Spin off from Fairfax’s Recipe Unlimited Brands as a standalone company.”

I don't think this crowd looked much like teachers on strike, although I can't know for sure. Fawkes has always been busy whenever I've gone.
