I'm not convinced that's the case. As much as we don't directly elect our Prime Minister, they typically "set the tone" for their party and that tone in turn sets the level of public satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the party much more than the other way around. You only have to look at the Liberal Party's trajectory prior to and subsequent to their replacing the Crown Prince of Pretty Socks with an experienced and talented adult.They said that after the election, but broader dissatisfaction with the CPC doesn't seem to be distilled directly towards Poilievre.
