Halifax has been dying for a CFL team since God-knows how long.

They had ~$20mm approved and set aside for the stadium, but COVID took it away and sadly, I am not sure the momentum is there now for a new stad.

Not surprising, there is very limited land to build in BC and most of what can be easily developed there has been. Also, most Canadians do not seem enthusiastic about moving to live in tiny condos especially expensive ones.

The biggest reason people don't want to live in BC is their trainwreck of a socialist anti-capitalist pro "safe supply" government that lets whole cities get run by gangsters and is letting indigenous tribes take over the province .....and blames all of their problems on Trump. That's why people avoid BC.

Very limited by North American standards and compared to Alberta. I really doubt people in Vancouver want the rent/space combination of Hong Kong which is even more brutal and also has an anti-capitalist government btw.
