This brilliant piece of architecture has a more unifying effect on the U of A campus than any other building to date -- it seamlessly melds the old with the new in an exciting and uplifting way -- that it also sits near the centre of the campus only underscores its significance -- Bravo U of A!
Anyone heard when the building will open? No updates. Can’t believe it would have taken over 2 years to finish the interior. Most days it doesn’t even look like anyone from Clark is on site working
University Commons is now open to walk through, here are some shots from today. Looks great! Not sure what the big circular thing is but @Seamusmuldrew and I suspect it's the new University Board Room. Anybody know for sure?
Gorgeous building. Unhappy that we were not permitted to access the floors above the 2nd other than a stairwell, hopefully those won't always be closed to students.
My God! This is on par with UBC's Student Union Building if not better because of the beautiful fusion of historic and modern architecture. I'll have to go and check this out.
Hopefully they open the upper floors, it looks like there's some really cool spaces up there!
