It was previously stated in this thread that the developer is adding more floors, so the delays are probably more to do with this than anything. The GC has only been switched once AFAIK

Adding a bunch of floors after they switched GC isn't something that happens overnight considering redrawing plans, permitting, etc. And this site has only been silent for a few months. Not sure why we're freaking out already.

Probably still stuck in the planning phases to get the DP approval. I don't think there has been anything issued for hoarding/crane yet, so likely an agreement to be signed or payment yet to be received to proceed. As I always say, development takes time and even more time when there are changes to a project compounded by a switch in contractors, perhaps multiple contractors in this case.

I heard that too and then apparently Ellisdon put in for a pretty substantial extra right after they got on site.

I agree 100%. I'll be honest the whole GC change was super strange, esp because apparently one of Open Sky's PMs used to work at Clark Builders for years prior so there has to be more to the story I'd think, but we'll probably never know.

I just hope they build the damn tower and this doesn't get too lawyer happy.

The area has become quite the gathering spot, to have an open pit for the foreseeable future would be a real shame. Was also really looking forward to this one, it seemed like a perfect fit here imo at the original height.

This won't be an empty pit for years like site for The Hat was on 95st & Jasper. Completely different situation here causing the delays. I predict we'll see a crane erected by end of year on this site
