'The first tower is barely a year old and 86% of its 285 units are already leased.'

Cory Wosnack from Avison Young on LinkedIn.
I must have turned dyslexic….could have sworn it was 2(58) units. Either way, great reporting by Cory…..perhaps a prelude to an upcoming Qualico announcement regarding the 37 storey?

It was pushed back, but I suspect it will return in 2026 given that it is shovel ready and the lease up that they are seeing, let alone the student housing initiative and other factors, but costs, relatively low rents, opportunity cost and uncertainty remain a challenge in this market.

Had a nice tour of Qualico's new plaza. High quality and lots of potential.

Ian, do you like apples? "Well I got her number, how do you like them apples?" jk.

"Currently, Station Lands includes the 28-story Epcor Tower that was built in 2011, and the more recent Switch, a mid-rise with 285 rental units that is now 75 per cent leased. Next, Qualico plans to move ahead with the Switch East, which will have 407 residential units and work on that could start in spring 2026 — it would be at least a two-year build. Down the line there could be five more residential towers, all market driven."
