Road closures for Rogers Place

Various lane closures on roads adjacent to Rogers Place will take place from March 21 to 25, 2017, to facilitate the replacement of nine exhaust fans located on the roof.

Road closures:
March 21, 2017: 105 Avenue between 102 Street & 103 Street starting at 10 a.m.
March 22, 2017: 105 Avenue between 102 Street & 103 Street (Expected to reopen by late afternoon).
March 23, 2017: 104 Street just north of 104 Avenue. 104 Street is anticipated to reopen to local traffic at 6 pm. Parking on the west side of the median remains closed until 6 p.m. on March 24, 2017.
March 24 to 25, 2017: 104 Avenue between 104 Street and 103 Street. Complete road closure between the hours of 6:00 p.m. (March 24) to 6:00 a.m. (March 25).

Calgary Flames will move without a new arena, says Ken King

Calgary Flames president and CEO Ken King says the team will move if it can't strike a deal for a new arena.

"There would be no threat to move, we would just move, and it would be over. And I'm trying my level best to make sure that day never comes frankly," King said during an interview on Sportsnet Fan 590 in Toronto on Wednesday.

"If people smarter than us in more powerful positions than ours don't feel that we're a critical piece of the social, economic and cultural part of our city then who are we to argue with that?"

Yes @Hillman -- I have heard a rumor that the Flames will move to Edmonton which will then have 2 NHL teams like New York and Los Angeles. The new name is likely to be the Fox Creek Flames (although the owners are open to other suggestions -- you can write in your ideas -- best name suggestion will win a year's worth of season's tickets).
