Edmonton Oilers

Both McDavid and Draisaitl acknowledged that the team shouldn't be mailing it in during the last 3 minutes of the game.
In all fairness, this team has always been good at taking accountability for their shortcomings. I hope they do manage to tidy up the house on the backend and string a few wins together. would make me feel a lot more confident.

I didn't think either goalie played particularly great last night, but at least we got the two points. They need to keep building on these wins and keep up the momentum.

Some Corey Perry fire during last year's Cup final with Oilers down 2-1 in series and down 3-0 after 1st period.

Forgot to include - the Oilers came back to win that game after Perry's scolding.

More good news from the Oilers win tonight:
Quinn Hutson scores his 1st NHL goal! His younger brother Lane (who is a star with the Habs) should be proud of him.

Some bad news:
Tristan Jarry injured, didn't finish the game. I swear, this guy bruises like a peach! I hope the Oilers took that into account when they traded for him.

Connor Ingram was called up from the minors today.

Meanwhile, the Oilers are starting to resemble a M*A*S*H unit (without the laugh track)

P.S. They spelled "Knoblauch" incorrectly.

This is not surprising -- one of the fallout factors of a disorganized team is injuries. The effort to organize the team is beginning to gel but only recently. Again, statistics back up this argument.

Really sucks to see Jarry injured. He was looking good, and the Oilers were starting to take off as expected. Back to Pickard and bingo, back in the losing column. :( also sucks to see Roslovic injured. He was having a decent season, I didn't mind his game.

Pickard is hardly to blame for the loss today. Defensive play in front of him was not the best. Also good to point out that not always a loss is anyone's fault, sometimes it's just that the opposing team were better at hockey. Minnesota is one damn good hockey team and they outplayed the Oilers on every aspect today. If anything, Pickard gave them a fighting chance for most of the night.
Would it be great if we had a goalie who could've stolen the game? Absolutely, but that would hardly have been Jarry either.
